Keep your dreams bigger than your reality!!
God’s Garden
In growing a healthy, fruit-bearing church, try this plan:
Plant three rows of squash:
- Squash gossip
- Squash criticism
- Squash indifference
Plant seven rows of peas:
- Prayer
- Promptness
- Perseverance
- Politeness
- Preparedness
- Purity
- Patience
Plant seven heads of lettuce:
- Let us be unselfish and loyal
- Let us be faithful to duty
- Let us search the Scriptures
- Let us not be weary in well-doing
- Let us be truthful
- Let us love one another

The Need to Be Selective
Here’s some information from the Preface section of Brian Tracy’s book, “Eat That Frog”. Brian Tracy states that the ability to concentrate single-mindedly on your most important task, to do it well and to finish it completely, is the key to great success, achievement, respect, status, and happiness in life. To get yourself to this point, there is a need to be selective. Because there are limitless amounts of new tasks and responsibilities for all people, the ability to select your most important task at each moment, and then to get started on that task and to get it done both quickly and well, will probably have more of an impact on your success than any other quality or skill you can develop. For example, if you have two important tasks before you, start with the biggest, hardest, and most important task first. Resist the temptation to start with the easier task first. The key to reaching high levels of performance and productivity is to develop the lifelong habit of tackling your major task first thing in the morning. You must develop the routing of “eating your frog” before you do anything else and without taking too much time to think about it.
Books for Great Life and Tennis development
For the last year, I have been reading a variety of books chock-full of valuable Life lessons that I believe to be great tools for the tennis player, on and off the court. The information in these books has enhanced my life, and I want to see them do the same for others. So, I have created this blog to share certain principles that I have learned with all of you vibrant and special folks that I have come to know over the years. The first book I will be drawing from is one about time management – Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy. Tracy lists and elaborates on “21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time”, and that is why I’ve chosen to focus on this book first. If we can all first enhance our time management skills, we will be better equipped and disciplined to read and learn the principles from some of the other books I will be highlighting throughout this journey with you.
